Kabayani 1000

Kabayani 1000 is a fundraising project that is rooted in the idea that every Filipino is a Kabayani–isang kabayan na isa ring bayani. We believe that every Filipino is inherently compassionate and willing to help out his fellowman. In line with the Kabayanihan Foundation’s advocacy for education, the Kabayani 1000 invites individual Filipinos to donate a small amount every month to support classroom building projects that will change the lives of many young students all over the country.

Think about it…

There are 12 months in a year. If you donate P200 every month for one year, that would be P2400/year.

Then, imagine if 1000 people–kabayanis–decided to do the same thing. P2400 multiplied by 1000 people P2,400,000.

Based on the Department of Education’s budget of P500,000 needed to build a classroom complete with facilities, we would be able to build roughly 5 schools in one year and help educate countless young Filipinos.

All for only P2400/year. That’s P200/month or P50/week. That’s less than the cost of a single movie ticket or even a cup of designer coffee. If you think about it, that’s about the cost of buying a 1.5L bottle of soda.
